Amazon’s continuous effort to integrate Alexa in more and more devices is very obvious after the CES 2018. After announcing the integration of Alexa in ovens, washing machines, and cars, Amazon has made an effort to overtake the market of Voice assisting android devices.
The integration of Alexa in Android devices had been seen to take a backseat in the past few months, but with the release of the new update, Amazon has made a comeback. The new update for Alexa app in android devices now has voice commands, that means, the mobile can now be used just like an echo device. You will not just be able to control the music on the phone, send messages and make calls, but also enable the different skills and control them with your voice by the Alexa app on your phone.
Earlier, Alexa had been integrated with some devices of Motorola and Huawei, but with the new update, it will now be giving a tough fight to Google Assistant. The app can be updated on Google Play or Amazon’s App Store. The update is also to be made available for iOS devices, the date for which is still not known.
The app is a big hit on the app stores, thanks to the success of Echo devices all over the world.
